Kristin Walter - Arlington , VA
Director of FeelGood, Inc.
Kristin Walter - born in Seattle, WA - grew up in a small town just outside of Philadelphia. She graduated from the University of Texas Business Honors Program in December of 2004 with a degree in Finance. Aside from being an extraordinary student and volunteer at different organizations, Kristin was a marathon runner. Her junior year, she joined the Longhorn Cross Country and Track Team where she first met Talis. They dreamed big together about going to the "National Championship" on the track and about changing the world off the track.
Until she saw FeelGood as a vehicle to make a difference, Kristin was working toward her dream of running a non-profit holistic hospital modeled after her role-model Patch Adams' Geshundeit Institute. Her 3rd year at UT, she heard of The Hunger Project and was impassioned by its strategy and success. From that day on, Kristin knew that her purpose was to raise money for the end of world hunger. Over the next months, Kristin's vision for her little grilled cheese fund-raiser began to blossom. Upon graduation, Kristin and Talis Apud-Martinez decided to give FeelGood everything they had and take it to every US University campus.
