Gratitude Visit
- changing the dream
Attitude of Gratitude
400 Points
Ends May 23, 2010
Individual Challenge: This one is worth twice the number of Cheese Points: 400! It’s called the Gratitude Visit and here’s what you do: Think of someone you feel grateful for, someone you’ve never really told. Write a letter of gratitude to that person, and then go visit them and read them the letter. Take a picture of your letter or you with that special person, and share a little about the experience. Post it here and find yourself richer not only in Cheese Points, but in gratitude and joy as well.

Thank you, UVM :D
Our chapter (UIUC) made a gratitude card to UVM, our fellow Feelgood chapter! They sent us an encouraging card this semester. As a way of showing gratitude and and letting them know that we will be supporting them, as well, we sent a thank you card to the chapter. This made us realize that Feelgood really creates partnership and friendship through everything and we are so so so thankful for this opportunity!
High School
Last week I sent a letter to a teacher at my old high school. She was the advisor for the LGBTQA group at our school. The club was not recognized for years but she continued to support students and to work to promote acceptance at WHS. Ms. Witzburg wrote me back early this week and I am now trying to arrange a visit with her and the students in specturm during spring break.
Thank you Suitemate!
I was trying to think of someone who I don't usually show my gratitude for, when I realized it was someone I was living with. My suitemate just vacuumed the entire living area without anyone asking her to right as I was reading about this challenge. She always does favors for people without them asking her to, and I feel that this is a quality worth some appreciation!
Thank you for being you!
Well, I am a remarkably blessed person and while I have endless reasons to feel gratitude to and for the many loved ones in my life, I really tried to challenge myself to think of the most deserving person of this letter. It took me a while...and in the end, I'm glad it took me so long! I got to think of all of the people who have touched my life in small and grand ways. What a gift to reflect on the hundreds of people who have contributed to my being!
I ended up writing a letter to my Aunt who helped raise me. I wasn't able to read it to her in person because she lives 3,000 miles away. But she has the letter.
Clemson Expresses Gratitude
At the start of each semester we like to say thanks to those who have helped us and showed support along our journey. We had some older T shirts and coffee that had never sold so we packaged it up along with a year in review book and delivered them to President and Mrs. Barker, our friends at Wachovia Bank, and a special delivery man in the student card offices. We didn't know about this challenge before hand so we don't have any pictures but here is an excerpt from a thank you we received form Mrs. Barker, "We just want you to know that we appreciate all that you are doing to keep all of us mindful of ending hunger at home and around the world. We are proud of the Feel Good Team!"
