Micro-Finance
500 Points
Ends Mar 31, 2010
Chapter Challenge: In this week’s Journey, you thought up some creative new ideas for how to engage your customers in a substantive dialogue about micro-finance. Share your chapter’s list of ideas here for an oh-so-easy 500 cheese points!

Having games or entertaining
Having games or entertaining activities while the customers are waiting
For example, there could be a huge poster board with sticky notes on them. The customer would write what makes them feel good on the sticky note. They then would take the sticky note and take it with them or could stick it on the FG mascot. The empty spot on the poster where their note was could have a note about microfinance that they would then learn about!
Pitt FG's Ideas!
1. Ask Pitt's micro-financing student organization to be FeelGood Friends for a week! They could grilled sandwiches at our deli and talk to customers about what they do.
-
2. Create a slip on paper about micro-financing as part of the epicenter strategy in Africa. Wrap the slips around the sandwiches (which are wrapped in foil) and tape. Customers will have to tear-off the slips to open their sandwiches, so hopefully they will read them while eating!
-
3. Make a poster about micro-financing within the context of THP. Display at the deli, so customers can read it while waiting for their sandwiches.
-
4. Ask customers "Do you know where your donation is going?" Start off by saying something along the lines of "towards the sustainable end to world hunger." Then explain how micro-financing fits into THP's sustainable hunger-ending methods!
