What’s Love Got To Do With It?

I don’t know about you, but I love people! Maybe not all people… but I’m working on that. I believe that all people are born primarily good. The environment determines how that goodness is either fostered or suppressed. While each individual has the final say in how much their surrounding environment will affect them, some environments are either so harsh or so supportive that choice becomes such a narrow road. It is our families, our friends, our schools, our government, our physical landscapes, and everything else combined which creates our surrounding environment. Mine has always been immensely supportive, and for that, I feel blessed. I know I am not the only person to ever grow up in a supportive environment, but I know I am privileged… because I was and will always be loved unconditionally.

While I have many goals and interests in life, becoming an unconditional lover of people is near the top of my list. This doesn’t mean lead a blind life, loving everything and anything. It means loving with intent and with purpose. It means finding the good in things, even when it seems like there is no good left. It means being creative enough in my own perspective to try and understand the perspectives of others.

Take abortion. Probably the heaviest topic in the world. Pro-life or pro-choice. ‘You’re either with us or against us’ kind of mentality. Well, not really the way I see it. Yes, those who call themselves either pro-life or pro-choice are basically split down the middle, but abortion isn’t a yes/no question. There are a number of factors to consider and a host of different circumstantial cases for abortion to be measured on. When the same people who consider themselves either pro-life or pro-choice consider a more in-depth conversation about abortion, two people with a seemingly dichotomy viewpoint, quickly realize that they actually agree on roughly 80%* of abortion permissibility (or impermissibility). The point being this, we all have something in common and are much more positively linked then we are separated. It is from this that love and respect for one another should grow.

In the short life I’ve lived so far, no other avenue has provided me more of an outlet to love others unconditionally than that of FeelGood. It is an open door to a world of endless opportunity. Being involved in FeelGood allows for you to help open this door even wider, allowing love to multiply exponentially.
