Given the statistics of extreme poverty and hunger, it is hard to feel good about the situation of the world today....

There are 1.2 billion people living on less than $1/day. 815 million of those people are chronically hungry. Every 5 seconds—EVERY 5 SECONDS—our human family loses a little child to hunger. And every night we go to sleep, warm and safe–20,000 people go to bed hungry and sick, never to wake up again.

Many people have resigned to these overwhelming statistics and have accepted poverty as a part of our existence. FeelGood believes however, and experts agree, that extreme poverty and hunger can be ended in our lifetime.

Do Good. Feel Good.
Here at Clemson, delis will be set up around campus where grilled cheeses will be sold in return for a donation. This donation will go to The Hunger Project, a nonprofit that has been around for 25 years which implements sustainable, empowering solutions that create self-reliance in under developed parts of the world.

In spite of that long winded explanation about FeelGood, the main reason I want to bring FeelGood to Clemson is to educate our student body and stand as a constant reminder at how fortunate and blessed we are.
