Feel What?

FeelGood’s vision is to “end world hunger, one grilled cheese at a time.” FeelGood is the first student-run, nonprofit deli. Specifically, we give away grilled cheese sandwiches for a voluntary donation on college campuses, and invest the proceeds in organizations pioneering gender-focused, empowerment models of development founded on a new framework of thinking that values the potential of every human being and acknowledges hunger as a consequence of deeply entrenched social conditions. We are using this initial foothold with students to not only raise substantial resources to be invested wisely, but to change perspectives and build a mass social change movement that empowers everyone to be a changemaker in their own right.

FeelGood grilled cheeses aren’t just any grilled cheeses, they are gourmet grilled cheese paninis made with the most delicious and nutritious ingredients and a whole lot of love.  From sautéed mushrooms to avocado, we promise a FG grilled cheese will fill you up.  In addition to our gourmet sandwiches, FG offers organic sodas and snacks.  FeelGood strives to use organic and locally produced ingredients and offer organic and local products because we feel that ending hunger is not just about giving money, it is about consuming sustainably.  To top it all off, everything offered at FG delis is given to our customers in exchange for a donation.  We are eager to give all of our customers an opportunity to make eating lunch a truly sustainable contribution to humanity.

FG’s business model is scalable. With a turn-key, low cost model, FG Delis can be started by any student on any university. Below is a very conservative forecasted growth for the number of FG Universities and the number of customers inspired by FG’s message to create a world free from hunger and make generosity the norm.

In May 2008, we successfully proved our business model with our pilot chapter raising $40,000 in profit. Their numbers were achieved through a limited menu and limited hours (12 hour/week). As we grow, we are anticipating greater cooperation from the university so that we can add more hours and more items to the menu. The upside potential is huge.

Oh, and we anticipate having FG delis at every university and beyond.
