Gourmet... a delicious grilled cheese

we'll give you a sandwich!

Our main product is a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich offered for a donation (we believe in the innate goodness of people). At each of our chapters, student's strive to get ingredients donated from local and/or organic vendors. When you donate for an FG Grilled Cheese, your money is being invested in the self-reliance of our human family AND your lunch has a relatively small carbon foot-print! We are doing everything we can so that you can turn your daily activity of lunch into an opportunity to make a difference.

P.S. Some people ask us... "Why a grilled cheese?" ...we'll list our reasons for you:

 

  • It's sustainable (no meat!)
  • Cost effective - allows us to give more money to THP
  • Simple - reinforces our belief that it is the small, simple actions that change the world
  • Nostalgic - everyone loves a grilled cheese; it is definitely one of our most nostalgic delicacies here in the US
  • Unintimidating - poverty can be intimidating and overwhelming for many people, FG wants to make our conversations and interactions with people as inviting and inspiring as possible; we think a grilled cheese is a good start.
