Food permits should be obtained from your University and not from your city. One of the benefits of being a University Student Organization and a non-profit, is that you can utilize the resources of your University without worrying about competing with other for-profits.

To find out who to talk to on your campus we recommend contacting your Student Life
Center or the Health and Food department (if you have one). They will give you your guidelines to which you must abide. Just to be prepared, here is what you can expect:

  • A roof – which you will have in your kiosk
  • Access to water – also in your kiosk
  • Food kept at 40 degrees – you will have a fridge
  • Thermometer to make sure food is cold
  • Access to electricity – which you will have
  • Gloves – of course
  • Hat’s – of course

If there are other sanitary requirements you need help with, please contact us and we will help you out.
