FeelGood Start-Up Manual

How to end world hunger, one grilled cheese at a time!

7 Steps to Getting Your Deli Up and Running - Snacks and beverage suppliers

  • Officer Responsible - Work on this as a team. Create a committee and identify an officer to chair the committee. This committee reports to the president.
  • When - Most chapters don't add drinks and snacks to the menu until they have a permanent location (it's just too cumbersome to store and display). Once you solidify a permanent locatoin, you want to start agressively begin finding consistent snack and beverage partners.

We can entice a crowd with a delicious grilled cheese, but unless we also provide our customers with something to drink and a snack, they might get tired of having to make two stops for lunch. We want to compete with McDonalds and other corporate lunch spots around the nation to lead the way for a new level of social responsibility.
Our answer is to provide local/organic/low production (or one of the above) snacks and drinks for a donation, which means we have to try as hard as possible to get them donated to us.
