Some Helpful Operating Tips - ways to advertise
Advertising
We need to get our name and our message out there. When it comes to advertising, dream big: TV Adds,
billboards, radio advertisements, Banners, Newspapers, Magazines, etc. Now, all of this costs money, and it
will take time to get pro bono cooperation from advertising firms.
So until then, here are some things you can do:
- Give press-releases to your local newspapers.
- Advertise in your school paper.
- Advertise at local stores – put flyers next to registers
- Pass out flyers
- Write on chalk boards of class rooms. FeelGood is trying to both raise money and create awareness.
Our Message
We Believe world hunger can be ended in our
lifetime and that it is our generation’s responsibility to end it. Thus, we strive to lead the movement to
create national awareness that hunger can be ended. How are we going to do this? Well, on every University
campus, we need to be clearly communicating the issues surrounding hunger and providing tangible ways to feel good about being a part of the solution.
So again our message is this:
- Key to ending hunger – investing in the potential and capabilities of the hungry themselves. Hungry people aren’t the problem, they are the solution.
- Gender inequality is the root cause of hunger. Reversing this social condition is thus critical to eradicating hunger.
- Everyone, no matter what their age or income, can be a part of the solution to end hunger.
- Being a socially responsible citizen or business is a must!
- Feeling guilty doesn’t make a difference. So turn your appreciation into action.
- Business can do a lot of good – FG is going to prove that.
We encourage your team to brainstorm creative ways to communicate our message. After all, you are the
ones out there speaking with people. What works? What doesn’t work? What would you like to see? In the near future we will
have competitions and exchanging of ideas from one campus to the next for ways of effectively
communicating our message to our generation.
