In addition to FeelGood’s daily deli activities, FeelGood Chapters are encourage to do at least 2 separate
fundraising events a year.
Why? Because putting on events like concerts, speaking events, races, awareness days, and carnivals, is great
for publicity, awareness, and an extra opportunity to raise money for the end of hunger. We also don’t want
you to get board of making grilled cheese. Putting on 2 special events a year changes the pace and gives
members an opportunity to get creative. This is one more way to increase your positive presence on campus
and in your community.

Quick Tips
Race for Hunger
Contact your local running store and ask them what the first step is in starting a Race for Hunger. Use your Student Life center as a resource, most likely some other organization at your university has put on a fundraising run/walk before. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Mail Drive
Get the addresses of everyone your chapter can think of. Write a quick letter about what you have done, what you are doing, and why you need money. Parents and family love to know what you are up to at college, this is a great way to update them and give them a reason to be proud.
Think about sending it around a holiday, they can make a donation in honor of someone.
Car Wash
Go ask a nearby McDonalds or lunch place if you can use their parking lot and water. Doing a carwash at a place with a lot of customers gives you immediate access to customers. Besides, you can wash their cars while they are inside.
Raffle
If you are so ambitious, you could try and get something of value donated, like a bike or dinner at a fancy restaurant, and then raffle it off. Remember, even if the prize is $3,000 it doesn’t matter unless you sell enough tickets. So be sure your members are willing to sell the necessary tickets.
Highway Donation Drive
Get some orange vests, or put on your FeelGood shirts, split into groups and pick a high traffic place at a stop light either before an entrance to the highway, or after, or at an entrance to a nearby mall. Hold up FeelGood signs, and ask for donations to help end world hunger.
This is a quick, fun way to raise a couple $100.
Concert
Do you have friends in a band? Or do you know of a music venue who might want to donate some of their sales from a concert to FeelGood? If you have friends in a band, reserve a venue on campus, advertise (sororities and frats are a great place to advertise. Some sororities are even required to do service events during the semester. A FeelGood concert could help them feel their quota), and have a rocking time raising money for hunger.
