Welcome - Introduction to FeelGood

Who We Are:

FeelGood empowers young adults in the developed world to work toward a world free from hunger.  We do this by encouraging student leaders to establish and operate student-run delis on university campuses that provide grilled cheese sandwiches for a donation.  Along with each grilled cheese, FeelGood delis also provide the message that the empowerment of the hungry in the developing world is the key to ending world hunger in our lifetime.  The donations from the delis are used to support the work of organizations like The Hunger Project that employ the empowerment-model as a means to end world hunger.  In this way, FeelGood connects socially-responsible entrepreneurs in the developed world with hunger-ending entrepreneurs in the developing world.  It is the case that the hungry are the solution to their problem.  It is the case that the developed world is positioned to support these efforts.  It is the case that they need a “hand-up” not a “hand-out”.  FeelGood – ending world hunger one grilled cheese at a time.

FeelGood’s Mission:

• FeelGood is not just a university organization. It is a movement. It is a vehicle to create change in a big way; one person, one action at a time.
• FeelGood exists to create socially responsible leaders, a culture of generosity and to spread philosophies of gender and socioeconomic equality, sustainability and justice which are key to unleashing the human spirit and ending world hunger.
• We involve the university community by offering alternative ways to get involved and contribute to a world free from hunger and suffering.

Product and Service:

Our main product is gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches sold for a donation. We also sell low-production local snacks, and FeelGood apparel. Our main service is providing a simple opportunity for students and faculty to give back and to create an awareness of
social responsibility in a friendly atmosphere.
